Duke University and Duke Health System is seeking an IT Sourcing Manager to lead long‑term planning and strategy for IT spend categories. You will drive negotiations, supplier management, and enterprise‑wide sourcing initiatives to reduce costs and improve service.
The role requires a bachelor’s degree and at least five years of procurement experience, with strong analytical, negotiation, and project management skills. Collaboration with legal, risk, and finance teams is essential.
Reporting to the Senior Director of Supply Chain IT Sourcing, the IT Sourcing Manager is responsible for long‑term planning, strategy development, and leading continuous improvement of assigned IT spend categories. The position develops and implements IT sourcing strategies and standards across assigned categories to meet Duke University and Duke Health System needs by achieving high quality, reduced cost, and simplified procurement strategies.
Responsible for the negotiation and management of IT supplier contracts; serves as a leader, mentor, and coach to the sourcing team; supervises, develops, and monitors performance goals for team members; and plans, coordinates, and implements enterprise‑wide initiatives to inform the Duke community about sourcing activities, procedures, and impact. Specific responsibilities include:
Education / Training: Completion of a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field.
Experience: Five years of progressively responsible contract administration or procurement experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.

Annual base salary range: USD $62,694.00 to USD $107,633.00. Duke considers factors such as scope, responsibilities, experience, education, peer equity, and market conditions when making offers.
