Primary Purpose :
The IT Solution Architecture Manager provides managerial and technical leadership for enterprise and laboratory solution architecture within ARUP’s information systems landscape. This role is accountable for the design, integration, and governance of IT solutions that support laboratory operations, enterprise business functions, and digital services.
The position translates enterprise architecture standards and IT strategy into implementable, operational solutions. The role ensures solutions are scalable, secure, compliant, and aligned with long‑term IT platform strategy while supporting continuous operations and business growth.

Leads and governs end to end IT solution architecture across enterprise and laboratory systems, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture standards and IT platform strategy.
Owns solution level architectural decisions that impact system reliability, scalability, security, and regulatory compliance.
Provides architectural leadership across IT enabled business domains, including:
Ensures IT solution architectures support compliance with CLIA, CAP, HIPAA, and applicable state and federal regulations.
Ensures IT security patterns that protect PHI and sensitive enterprise data while supporting high throughput laboratory operations.
Identifies and mitigates architectural and technology risks related to system availability, performance, regulatory exposure, and long term maintainability.

Bachelor's Degree or better in Information Systems or related field.
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Healthcare Informatics, or related field, or equivalent experience
Demonstrated experience leading IT solution architecture in complex, regulated environments
Experience designing and integrating enterprise systems
Demonstrated leadership experience influencing cross functional IT and business teams
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Experience supporting laboratory information systems or healthcare enterprise platforms
Knowledge of healthcare interoperability standards (HL7, FHIR, LOINC, SNOMED)
Experience with enterprise integration platforms, identity and security systems, and data platforms
Prior people management or IT architecture practice leadership experience
