Job summary

Job description

We are seeking an IT Software Engineer to support software development, API integration, database management, testing, and technical requirements activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in computer science and software development, hands‑on experience with REST APIs and Microsoft DevOps, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external vendors.

This role will support 5G eSIM management and integration initiatives, working closely with DevOps, backend systems, software onboarding, dealer system portal teams, external vendors, and engineering teams, including teams based in India.

Required Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Acceptable alternatives:
• Associate's degree plus 6+ years of relevant professional experience, or
• Master's degree in a related field; recent graduates may be considered.
• 2-4 years of professional experience in software engineering, development, testing, or a related technical discipline.
• Relevant internships may be considered toward the required experience.

Required Technical Skills

• Hands-on experience writing, implementing, consuming, or testing REST APIs.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Azure DevOps, including creating user stories, tracking progress, and managing project activities.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Working knowledge of SQL, Visual Basic, and general software development tools.
• Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirements analysis, development, testing, and deployment.
• Basic troubleshooting skills and the ability to implement system changes.

Desired Technical Skills

• Familiarity with the Comprion test system.
• Experience with API integration and testing.
• Exposure to 5G, eSIM, telecom, or network-related technologies is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

• Apply computer science and mathematical principles to design, develop, test, troubleshoot, and evaluate software and systems.
• Modify and maintain existing databases and database management systems.
• Develop logical and physical database descriptions and define database identifiers for database management systems.
• Collaborate with project teams to coordinate database development and establish project scope, requirements, and limitations.
• Review project requests and estimate the time, effort, and resources required for completion.
• Create and maintain technical requirements and user stories in Microsoft DevOps.
• Coordinate and execute API testing and integration activities with external vendors and internal teams supporting 5G eSIM management.
• Collaborate with DevOps, software onboarding, backend systems, and dealer system portal teams.
• Schedule and conduct technical test sessions with multiple external vendors and internal engineering teams, including offshore teams in India.
• Define and recommend processes for leveraging new eSIM capabilities and enabling new functionality for customers.
• Track project progress in DevOps and participate in project status meetings.
• Support software testing, troubleshooting, integration, and system implementation activities.
• Assist with operating-system-level software, compilers, network distribution software, and enterprise applications as required.
• Participate in requirements analysis, technical discussions, testing, implementation, and delivery throughout the software development lifecycle.
