Job summary

Jobtailor in Belmont, CA is seeking a senior connectivity validation engineer to lead end-to-end validation across telecom, automotive ECUs, IoT devices, and backend/cloud systems.

You will design and execute comprehensive test plans, validate 5G, LTE, and Wi‑Fi technologies, and perform drive tests to mimic real-world scenarios while developing Python scripts and Robot Framework automation.

Responsibilities

• Lead integration and validation of connectivity across telecom, automotive ECUs, IoT devices, and backend/cloud systems.
• Validate technologies including 5G (SA/NSA), LTE, Wi-Fi, eSIM, IMS, and NTN.
• Ensure seamless system-of-systems communication (device modem/ecu vehicle cloud).
• Design and execute comprehensive test plans covering functional, protocol, regression, and black-box testing.
• Conduct stability, MTBF, and performance testing.
• Execute drive tests to validate real-world scenarios (handover, weak/no signal, roaming).
• Develop automation scripts using Python and Robot Framework.
• Perform ECU diagnostics and flashing using tools like ODIS; validate CAN/UDS communication.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and document test results, procedures, and best practices.
