Job summary

The Manatee County Sheriff’s Office seeks an IT Service Desk Technician to provide computer and network connectivity support, install and troubleshoot systems, and respond to service desk inquiries. The role emphasizes maintaining operational status and documenting changes.

The position requires IT experience, Florida driver license, and ITIL/HDI certifications within one year of probation. You will work with agency personnel and vendors, delivering high-quality IT services and supporting new

Qualifications

Associate's Degree in related field is required.
High school diploma or GED with 2 years' tech experience accepted in lieu of degree.
1 year experience in technology required.
Valid Florida driver license required.
Must pass MCSO 8-hour Driver Improvement Course.
Must attain ITIL Foundations and HDI Support Center Analyst certifications within one year probationary period.
CompTIA certification, ITIL experience and networking experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide technical expertise and maintain agency IT efficiency; stay current through training.
Communicate effectively with colleagues, vendors, and civilians; assist with technical problems.
