Description

This customer-facing, non-exempt PC/Printer field break/fix position provides a wide range of hardware support and related services specifically to PC Product customers. Products include Laptop, Desktop, RPOS, and Workstation products. Printer knowledge is a huge plus. A fast-paced, constantly changing environment that requires positive approaches and demonstrated success at handling multiple stressors. Candidates must be self-contained, resourceful, and determined for success.

This is a team-based group of self-starting, technical/mechanical delivery professionals. This environment presents each team member with various daily events that educate customers about technology, manage critical service events, and interact with multiple levels of customer management/teams. These teams are responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction and helping to grow our client's business profitably and within budget. It is imperative that the Field Service Rep. understands the financial aspects and business impact of their work, how, and why. Typical reactive, on-site service events include configuring hardware, software, and simple network components, installation, repair, and working with escalation personnel to perform and assist in technical action plans to remediate PC/printer issues.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude, working with tools and various alignment apparatus.
  • Alignment with customer’s business needs while maintaining contractual commitments.
  • Ability to logically troubleshoot hardware problems on printers, including third-party software, networks, and switches.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple activities and issues effectively.
  • Understanding of the financial and business impact of technical work.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, both verbal and written, especially on customer sites.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to administrative responsibilities.
  • Business-based decision-making skills, with appropriate risk-taking.
  • Independent thinking within standard procedures.
  • Knowledge of industry and company technology solutions.
  • Ability to evaluate technical situations quickly and manage operational challenges.
  • Ability to work independently and re-prioritize tasks promptly based on situation.

Requirements include:

  • Ability to bend, crawl, stoop, sit, lift, and move 50 pounds.
  • Availability for scheduled and unscheduled overtime, including non-traditional workdays and holidays.
  • Onsite customer-facing experience.
  • Technical/mechanical hardware repair experience.
  • A demonstrated technical/mechanical aptitude for learning new technology.
  • High School diploma or equivalent, with additional hardware technology training; college preferred.

Skills required include support for desktops, printers, troubleshooting, Windows 10, imaging, hardware, help desk support, Active Directory, and more.

The pay range is $17.00 - $20.00/hr. Benefits may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), life insurance, disability, HSA, transportation benefits, and PTO.
