Job summary

HellermannTyton Corporation in Romeoville, IL is seeking an IT Service Desk Support I to provide first-line technical help, desktop and software support, and user account assistance. This role supports the company’s ISO 16949/9001 quality and ISO 14001 EMS requirements and works on site with the IT team and MSP.

You will resolve routine hardware/software issues, document solutions, and assist with device deployments.

Qualifications

1–2 years IT support or related field.
Basic hands-on with Microsoft Windows OS and printers/scanners.
Familiarity with IT service management tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

Assist with installation, configuration, and support of desktops, laptops, and thin clients.
Prepare and deploy computer equipment with standard software and configurations.
Set up and provide basic troubleshooting for mobile devices.
Diagnose and resolve routine hardware and software issues with manuals or supervision.
Create and update user documentation for hardware and software systems.
Assist with managing user accounts and basic access permissions as directed.
Provide support for break/fix issues, software installations, and hardware repairs under guidance.
Escalate complex issues to higher-level IT staff as needed.
Collaborate with MSP for account creation and security changes.
