Job summary

CMC provides an excellent opportunity to contribute to the IT service delivery for our manufacturing and support environments. You will help keep customer sites operational, troubleshoot hardware and software, and coordinate with multiple IT teams across sites.

The role emphasizes problem solving, documentation, and participation in IT projects. Travel up to 25% and lifting up to 45 pounds may be required, with on-call expectations as needed.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years experience in Service Delivery or IT support.
  • Knowledge of IT support in PC, Applications (Manufacturing systems preferred), Telecomm and Networking protocols.
  • Experience with IT Ticketing Systems (ServiceNow, Cherwell), Desktop Applications and Wireless Networking.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365, Windows Server, DNS, DHCP, MS Exchange, Active Directory, Office versions 2010-current, Skype for Business.
  • Problem solving with root cause analysis and corrective action.
  • Ability to plan, prioritize and drive issues from concept to closure.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work across teams and sites.
  • Able to lift up to 45 pounds and be available for on-call hours.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

  • Works within all aspects of Service Delivery to ensure customer site is operational.
  • Maintains quality and consistency with the IT Ticketing System – Cherwell.
  • Assists with Asset Management through Cherwell.
  • Supports other IT teams (AD, Exchange, Server, Storage, Networking) to meet requests.
  • Collaborates with teams to implement new technology rollouts, upgrades or changes.
  • Acts as escalation point for Helpdesk and resolves issues promptly; installs and troubleshoots hardware/software.
  • Drafts and maintains technical specifications and documentation.
  • Participates in site-specific IT projects and supports manufacturing systems environment.

What You'll Do
  • Works within all aspects of Service Delivery to ensure customer site is operational
  • Ensures quality and consistency with the IT Ticketing System – Cherwell
  • Assists with Asset Management through Cherwell
  • Assists other IT teams (Active Directory, Exchange, Server, Storage, Networking, etc) to ensure customer requests are being met in a timely manner
  • Works with other IT teams to ensure a coordinated effort with new technology roll outs, upgrades, or changes
  • Acts as an escalation point for Helpdesk and responds to and resolves issues promptlyInstalls, maintains, and troubleshoots all computer hardware and software
  • Adheres to IT policies and procedures
  • Composes and maintains technical specifications and documentation
  • Responsible for site-specific IT project participation
  • Supports the business processes, data, analytics, and software applications for the manufacturing system environment
  • Performs other duties as assigned
What You'll Need
  • Minimum 3 years experience in Service Delivery or other IT support positions
  • Knowledge of IT support in areas including: PC, Applications (Manufacturing systems preferred), Telecomm (iPhone, Lync, Polycom, Cisco), and Networking protocols (PC / IP, VPNs, Access Control lists, Routing, bridging, etc)
  • Experience with IT Ticketing Systems (Service Now, Cherwell), Desktop Applications and Wireless Networking
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365, Windows Server, Server roles - DNS, DHCP, MS Exchange, Active Directory, Office 2010-Current, Skype for Business
  • Problem solving skills including root cause analysis and corrective action
  • Ability to plan, prioritize and drive issues, tasks and deliverables from concept to closure
  • Ability to work across different non-technical and technical functional groups
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate up, down, and across the business
  • Ability to work in a global, multi-site, and cross functional organization
  • Strong team member and able to contribute in a team environment
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to work in all types of weather and environment (Office, Mill, Recycling yard – air-conditioned and non-air- conditioned environments)
  • Able to lift up to 45 pounds
  • Available for on-call hours
  • Available for travel up to 25% of the time
Your Education
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent relevant experience required.
