U.S. Judicial Branch seeks an IT Security Officer within Defender Services to lead security guidance, policy development, and risk assessment across the Defender Services program. The role collaborates with NITOAD and federal defender entities to implement security controls and awareness initiatives.

The position requires coordinating incident response, security reporting, and alignment with judiciary cybersecurity strategy, reporting to the Office Chief and IT leadership.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of IT security concepts and current industry standards.
• Experience in planning, developing, and implementing security policies.

Responsabilités

• Directing IT security guidance and support across the Defender Services program.
• Coordinating IT security assessments and risk assessment activities.
• Collaborating to create and implement national security policies for federal defender organizations.
• Establishing system security baselines per the judiciary's RMF.
• Coordinating incident response for the Defender Services program.
• Managing reporting requirements and producing annual security reports.
• Developing security strategy aligned with judiciary cybersecurity goals.
• Creating security awareness training plans for the organization.
• Advising the DSO IT Program Officer on IT Security matters.
