Job summary

United States Courts seeks a Shared Services IT Security Officer to advance security priorities across Clerk’s Office and Probation Office. The role supports security awareness, training, and best practices within a collaborative IT environment.

Responsibilities include developing standards, guiding network security design, and assisting with judiciary IT network administration from a security perspective. Telework may be available; mobile phone is provided, with standard 8:30–5 schedule and

Qualifications

• Experience with IT security tools and ability to learn new tools
• Ability to perform independent research and identify training needs
• Ability to collaborate with individuals, teams of any size, and organizations of any size
• The ability to work with other local and remote technical staff to identify, prioritize, and resolve security issues - especially those identified in security scans
• Good judgment, be dependable, be a proactive self-starter, and demonstrate initiative in problem-solving
• Exceptional ability to effectively communicate, articulate, and relate to coworkers and others with professionalism and integrity

Responsibilities

• Proactively advance security priorities and engage customers in security awareness.
• Develop standards, recommend network infrastructure changes, and participate in design and analysis.
• Assist in administration of the judiciary IT network from a security perspective.
• Coordinate with IT teams; telework may be available under policy.
