Job summary

B Lab is seeking an IT Security & Compliance Lead to own security governance across our global network. You will conduct audits, define baselines, monitor risk, and collaborate with regional IT admins, product, engineering and data teams to raise our security posture.

The role emphasizes remote-first work, cross-region coordination, and adherence to GDPR, LGPD and UK GDPR, with a focus on policy development and security awareness across the organization.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in information security, IT governance, risk and compliance (GRC).
• Strong understanding of networking concepts, cybersecurity and regulatory compliance.
• Experience with security audits and vendor security reviews.
• Familiarity with GDPR, UK GDPR and LGPD or related data protection laws.
• Hands-on knowledge of cloud & SaaS security, including Google Workspace and Salesforce.
• Ability to communicate security risk clearly to non-technical colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Security Governance, Audits, and Assessments: conduct regular security audits and risk assessments of network systems and applications, maintaining a prioritized risk register.
• Establish and maintain a security baseline across the network, aligned to ISO/IEC 27001:2022 or equivalent.
• Track and report security posture and maturity to Technology leadership with clear metrics.
• Run security reviews of vendors and third‑party tools and manage third‑party risk.
• Coordinate external penetration testing and vulnerability scanning and track remediation.
• Identity, access and platform security: define and monitor MFA, SSO, least privilege and related controls across Google Workspace and Salesforce.
