IT Security Analyst
DecisionPoint Corporation is seeking an IT Security Analyst to join our US Air Force team supporting the defense of USAF infrastructure (AFIN) at the base level.
This position is onsite.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide Functional Mission Analysis-Cyber assistance to identify weapon system's critical IT architecture and infrastructure supporting the warfighting mission.
- Investigate network activities to support command, control, processes, and systems.
- Develop strategies to identify, evaluate, and minimize cyber risks crucial for mission success.
- Create and implement strategies to display relevant Mission Relevant Terrain Cyber (MRT-C).
- Identify trends, define MRT-C requirements, and provide guidance.
- Assist in developing defense plans to safeguard MRT-C.
- Establish databases for system monitoring and search optimization.
- Utilize classified and unclassified networks for mission support.
- Review and recommend policy, procedures, and organizational changes.
- Coordinate with SMEs to resolve incidents and brief recommendations.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and threat analysis.
- Perform research and correlation across data sets for situational awareness.
- Validate network alerts and document incidents.
- Perform cyber defense trend analysis and reporting.
- Analyze network alerts to determine causes.
Qualifications
- Active Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
- Bachelor's degree in related field.
- CompTIA Security+ Level II Certification; CCSP, Cloud+, CySA+, or GICSP preferred.
- At least 3 years of experience in cyber analysis, cybersecurity principles, and risk assessment.
