Job summary

Washington University is seeking a Manager of Technical Services to lead EUS Security & Access operations in a hybrid Saint Louis setting. You will supervise staff, coordinate security tooling deployments, and drive security process improvements while maintaining alignment with university policies.

The role requires 3+ years of supervisory experience in a large enterprise or higher education environment, strong communication skills, and a focus on security & access management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or combination of education and/or experience required.
• 3+ years supervisory/management experience in enterprise or higher education environment.
• Experience with IT security operations and access management preferred.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage Daily Support Operations and establish processes for EUS Security Operations.
• Develop and coordinate deployment of security tools with EUS activities.
• Coordinate communications within WashU IT and with customers; conduct staff meetings and notifications.
• Develop documentation and best practices for security & access technology; drive continuous improvement.
• Escalate customer security or access needs when not solvable by EUS staff.
• Plan EUS Security Solutions with other WashU IT units; translate business requirements into technical specs.
• Investigate and address issues; act as escalation point; ensure alignment with CISOs, HR, Compliance, and HIPAA Office.
