The ideal candidate has 6+ years in business analysis, substantial SAP/ERP experience, and advanced Excel skills to document requirements, analyze data, and validate solutions alongside stakeholders from operations to leadership.

IT Business Analyst

Location: Columbia, South Carolina

FULLY ON SITE

Length: 6+ month contract

Pay rate: 47/hr. on W2 basis

Role Overview

An experienced Business Analyst is sought to support strategic business process improvement, automation, and digital transformation initiatives. This individual will serve as a key liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams. The role involves identifying business requirements, analyzing operational challenges, and implementing technology-driven solutions that improve efficiency and productivity.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather, document, and validate business requirements and functional specifications.
• Serve as a liaison between business units and technical teams to ensure successful solution delivery.
• Develop recommendations outlining expected benefits, efficiencies, and cost savings.
• Create and maintain process documentation, support procedures, guidelines, workflows, and checklists.
• Develop test scenarios, coordinate testing activities, and validate system functionality.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders ranging from operational teams to executive leadership.

Required Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience as a Business Analyst.
• 6+ years of experience working with SAP environments and business processes, including enterprise ERP systems.
• 6+ years of experience utilizing Microsoft Excel for analysis, reporting, and data management.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) software solutions.
• Experience supporting workflow automation and document management platforms.
• Experience with enterprise system implementations and process modernization initiatives.
• Experience supporting digital transformation projects and business process reengineering efforts.
