Job summary

GAF is seeking an IT SAP Intern in Parsippany, NJ to join the SAP S/4HANA Transformation team. You will work on end-to-end data migration, ETL development with Alteryx, and apply AI innovations for data readiness under agile project management.

You will support data quality checks, stakeholder coordination, and project tracking using Jira or Azure DevOps, while gaining exposure to cross-functional teams and real-world enterprise transformation.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Project Management, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Execute SAP S/4HANA data migration activities (Customer/Vendor/Finance/Material Master).
• Build and maintain Alteryx ETL flows to create load files and target schemas.
• Apply lightweight AI/ML techniques for data cleansing and pattern matching.

And under this roof, we protect what matters most.**SAP Intern (SAP S/4HANA Transformation)**Join our enterprise SAP S/4HANA Transformation team to gain end-to-end exposure to large-scale data migration, automated ETL development, and project coordination. In this role, you will work at the intersection of technical execution and agile project management—helping migrate legacy business systems to S/4HANA using Alteryx, AI innovations for data readiness, and foundational project tracking methods.**Key Responsibilities*** **SAP S/4HANA Data Migration:** Execute data migration activities for key S/4HANA objects (e.g., Customer/Vendor Master, Finance, Material Master), including source-to-target data mapping, staging, and legacy extraction.* **Alteryx ETL Process Flows:** Build and maintain automated Alteryx ETL process flows to extract, transform, and map legacy datasets into S/4HANA-compliant load files and target schemas.* **AI Innovation for Data Cleansing:** Apply AI-driven techniques and ML scripts to streamline data cleanup—identifying duplicate master records, standardizing unformatted fields, and resolving legacy data anomalies at scale.* **Data Quality & Validation:** Establish automated data quality checks within Alteryx workflows to ensure completeness, accuracy, referential integrity, and business rule validation prior to S/4HANA loading.* **Project Management Support:** Assist project managers with task tracking, status updates, risk logs, and sprint management across migration milestones using tools like Jira or Azure DevOps.* **Stakeholder Coordination:** Help facilitate cross-functional data validation sessions with business functional leads, documenting transformation logic and recording data cleansing sign-offs.**Qualifications*** Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Project Management, or a related field.* Hands-on experience or coursework with **Alteryx Designer** (or similar ETL tools) and **SQL**.* Exposure to **AI/ML tools or Python** for basic text processing, data cleansing, or pattern matching.* Fundamental knowledge of **Project Management practices** (Agile/Scrum basics, project schedules, task tracking).* Proficiency in MS Excel (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables) and project management platforms (Jira, Confluence, MS Project).* Strong organizational, communication, and task-prioritization skills.Base salary and/or rate of pay ranges listed are exclusive of fringe benefits and potential bonuses.
