Job summary

Horizontal Talent is seeking a Senior Data Analyst / Data Migration Specialist to support a major SAP S/4HANA data program focused on data quality and migration readiness. You will partner with business and technical stakeholders to analyze, profile, cleanse, and organize data for migration workstreams and enterprise data consumers.

You will collaborate closely with data stakeholders and the Data Lead to ensure data quality, readiness, and effective downstream delivery across ongoing projects.

Qualifications

• At least 6 years of related experience in data analysis, profiling, or sourcing.
• Hands-on experience in large enterprise environments.
• Strong knowledge of SAP S/4HANA and finance data domains.
• Experience with legacy SAP ECC data extraction and cleansing.
• Proficiency with Alteryx and Databricks for data analysis.
• Understanding of information architecture and data domains.

Responsibilities

We’re looking for a Senior Data Analyst / Data Migration Specialist to support a major SAP S/4HANA data initiative focused on data quality, migration readiness, and downstream data delivery. In this role, you’ll partner with business and technical stakeholders to analyze, profile, cleanse, and organize data that supports both migration workstreams and enterprise data consumers.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands‑on data analysis, profiling, and sourcing to support complex migration and information architecture efforts.
• Coordinate and help drive data quality activities within the migration workstream, including cleansing data at the source to prepare for SAP S/4HANA.
• Work closely with business stakeholders and data consumers to gather requirements, validate data, and resolve data issues.
• Support the organization and structuring of data assets for downstream use and consumption.
• Run assigned data project workstreams and help ensure alignment with project goals and timelines.
• Translate technical findings into clear, actionable insights for both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Collaborate with the Data Lead to support current and future data needs across the program.

Skills

• Strong organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
• Interest in using AI tools and concepts to improve data management practices.
• High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred.

Preferred Skills

• Deeper functional and technical experience with SAP S/4HANA finance data.
• Additional experience working on legacy SAP ECC data cleansing initiatives.
• Familiarity with modern data architecture and enterprise data delivery models.
• Experience bridging the gap between technology teams and business users in a data‑focused environment.
