Job summary

Grant Thornton (US) is seeking an IT Risk Senior Associate (Insurance) to help clients understand business risks and strengthen IT risk controls across engagements within the Risk, Compliance & Controls Practice. You’ll collaborate with teams to execute and report on risk management, internal control and internal audit engagements that develop, assess, or improve IT risk management and controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, IT, MIS or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of related work experience with a professional services firm or internal audit.
• Experience with insurance organizations preferred, particularly property & casualty carriers.
• CISA, CISSP, CISM, CPA preferred.
• Understanding of IT risk management and cybersecurity standards (COBIT, NIST CSF).
• Experience assessing IT general controls and IT controls for SOX or other risk activities.
• Experience with ERP configuration and controls (SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft, JD Edwards).
• Strong IT controls knowledge; ability to work on multiple engagements.

Responsibilities

• Participate in client engagements from start to completion, focusing on IT internal audit and control tests.
• Understand client industry, objectives, processes, and IT systems.
• Execute IT control design and operating effectiveness tests based on scope.
• Support assessments of technology supporting insurance operations.
• Bring analytical mindset to improve project execution.
• Collaborate with teams across Advisory and other Grant Thornton service lines.
• Meet or exceed defined performance metrics.
• Other duties as assigned.
