The California Department of Motor Vehicles is seeking an IT Specialist II – Release Management to drive end-to-end release lifecycle for multiple enterprise applications within the DxP modernization program at DMV Headquarters in Sacramento.

You will architect CI/CD pipelines, deploy automation, coordinate with vendors and internal teams, mentor staff, and ensure 24x7 production readiness in mission-critical environments. This public service role offers stability and growth with CA benefits.

Qualifications

• 2+ years releasing Salesforce apps using CI/CD tools
• Experience with Copado, AutoRABIT, or similar release tools
• 7+ years in enterprise application development
• 5+ years in 24x7 mission-critical production environments
• Strong DevOps: version control, pipelines, automated testing, code reviews
• Experience designing SQL and data services
• Troubleshoot performance and lead root-cause analysis
• Strong communication and cross-team coordination

Responsabilités

• Own end-to-end release lifecycle for multiple enterprise apps
• Architect and implement CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
• Lead release planning, deployment validation, and post-release monitoring
• Drive engineering efforts across design, development, data services, and SDLC
• Troubleshoot complex system and SQL performance issues
• Influence system architecture and modernization standards
• Serve as cross-functional technical liaison and mentor
• Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and leadership on release readiness
