Job summary

Ohio State University in Columbus seeks an Intermediate IT Project Manager (Tech) to oversee project lifecycles across multiple technologies and stakeholders, from initiation to closure. You will guide cross-functional teams, manage scope, schedule, cost, and risk, and translate complex technical concepts into clear plans.

A bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of PM leadership are required; PMP/CAPM is a plus. The role offers a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Four years of direct project management and leadership responsibility for cross-functional, highly complex IT projects.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal, written and presentation communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts.
  • Self-managed, highly motivated and has a strong drive for results.
  • Possess general understanding in the areas of large IT infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Manage IT projects through initiation to closure for multi-technology initiatives.
  • Coordinate design, build, install, go-live and training across stakeholders.
  • Balance scope, schedule, cost, risk, quality and expectations.
  • Serve as informal resource for less experienced colleagues.
  • Communicate project status and issues clearly to stakeholders.
