One of our clients in the government domain is seeking a Program Manager to provide temporary project management coverage for an internal Project Manager on leave. This role will manage a portfolio of concurrent IT projects, with a strong focus on vendor-led initiatives, procurement-related activities, and technology solution delivery across multiple business units. The PM4 will be responsible for ensuring projects are completed on schedule, within scope and budget, and in compliance with organizational standards and governance requirements.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage multiple IT projects simultaneously, tracking schedules, milestones, deliverables, budgets, and resource allocations.
- Oversee vendor relationships, contractual obligations, project deliverables, and procurement-driven technology initiatives.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for project communications, collaborating with business stakeholders, technical teams, vendors, and leadership.
- Identify project risks, issues, and dependencies, implementing mitigation strategies to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Control project scope, manage change requests, and maintain project baselines throughout the project lifecycle.
- Prepare and deliver regular status reports, providing visibility into project health, accomplishments, budget performance, timelines, and potential risks.
- Ensure compliance with State of Ohio IT governance standards, security requirements, quality controls, and project management methodologies.
- Drive projects from initiation through planning, execution, monitoring, and closure while maintaining operational continuity during the backfill period.
Required Experience & Skills
- Proven experience managing multiple concurrent IT projects and programs.
- Strong background in project planning, risk management, stakeholder management, and vendor oversight.
- Experience working with procurement processes, contracts, and third-party technology vendors.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage cross-functional teams and balance competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience preparing executive-level status reports and project documentation.
- Knowledge of project governance frameworks, SDLC methodologies, and IT operational processes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working within government or public-sector environments.
- Familiarity with State of Ohio project governance standards.
- PMP, PMI-ACP, Scrum Master, or other project management certifications preferred.
- Experience managing enterprise application, infrastructure, or technology modernization projects.
