Our client in Northern NJ is seeking a IT Project manager that is well versed in SDLC. This position requires to be onsite in the office in Northern NJ 4 days a week (local candidates only/no relocation). This position is not open to Visa sponsorship (GC or US Citizens)

Job Overview:

We are looking for a project manager to join our organization. As a project manager, you will manage multiple projects simultaneously and ensure that all deadlines are met. You will also take the lead on projects, delegating tasks, and managing the productivity of your team. You will be responsible for assigning tasks to the appropriate team members, monitoring their progress, and ensuring that each project is completed on time and to the highest standard.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage and coordinate multiple projects to ensure they are completed on time, with good quality
  • Organize and plan project tasks and schedules
  • Manage tasks in accordance with Project Management Institute (PMI) standards and those of the company
  • Communicate project status to stakeholders and key project participants
  • Stay aware of company goals and strategies to ensure projects align with business priorities
  • Facilitate and encourage collaboration across departments to ensure projects are completed successfully
  • Understand the team's capabilities and delegate work to team members based on skills and expertise
  • Optimize project deliverables, schedule, and budgeting
  • Work with proposal teams to develop cost estimates and project plans
  • Create presentations and reports to communicate project status
  • Keep the project team focused on the end goal
  • Assists in the removal of impediments and in empowering open discussion, decision-making, and conflict resolution
  • Guides development teams and the organization on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and champions its value
  • Work closely with management and their teams to coordinate development, testing, and integration activities for the platform
  • Run daily development activities, including scrum master role, scrum process, and triages
  • Create schedules to be tracked and ensure a strong sense of ownership and accountability for each team member’s contributions
  • Set, manage, monitor, and report on milestones for team members
  • Set expectations and hold teams accountable for the quality and timeliness of their contributions
  • Continuously assess risk and resolve conflicts between budget, schedule, and design goals
  • Provide daily, weekly, and monthly reports on team progress to multiple levels of management
  • Maintain close communication with team leads
Job Qualifications and Skill Sets:
  • Demonstrable problem-solving, project management experience, and skills
  • A bachelor’s degree in project management, computer science, information technology, or related fields may be recommended.
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies such as DACI and best practices
  • Strong interpersonal and team leadership skills
  • Strong organizational, time management, and verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software, including Trello, Asana, Pivotal Tracker, and Basecamp
  • Experience with cloud-based hosting platforms and version control tools
