Job summary

Amentum is seeking an IT Project Manager III to support the US DOE Office of Legacy Management IT Projects team. You will participate on teams to develop new IT capabilities or modernize existing ones, planning and managing medium to large projects.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s in IT (or equivalent), 7+ years leading IT projects, and US Citizenship for access. PMP preferred; driver’s license required; travel <5%.

We are currently seeking a IT Project Manager III to provide support to the US DOE Office of Legacy Management IT Projects team. The IT Project Manager III will leverage their knowledge and experience to participate on teams to develop key new IT capabilities or to modernize and enhance existing capabilities, artifacts, and processes. The IT Project Manager III is responsible for planning and managing the execution of IT projects of medium to large size & complexity.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

• Leads or contributes to the overall design, selection, installation, modification, and operation of an information systems capability.
• Understands and applies Project Management practices.
• Follows standard procedures for a particular set of applications.
• Develops documentation and delivers training in the fundamentals of various applications.
• Scheduling expertise and cost management.
• Authority to complete assignments according to standard operating procedures; Exercises own judgement in proposing a solution for handling non-standard assignments.
• Developing cost estimates, project plans and execution of projects
• Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION, LICENSE, CERTIFICATION, And EXPERIENCE

Education

Bachelor’s degree in information technology. Experience in lieu of education considered.

Experience

Minimum of 7 years of applicable and proven experience in leading Information Technology / Services Projects.

Licenses

Valid Driver’s License.

Certifications

No Professional Certification Required. PMP Certification Preferred.

No clearance requirement but the contract and/or the site requires US Citizenship to be approved for access. (includes NACI / T1, MRPT, CAC): Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization. Note: US Citizenship is required for facility credentials/authorization at this work location.

Compensation Details

$86,000 - $108,369

The compensation range or hourly rate listed for this position is provided as a good-faith estimate of what the company intends to offer for this role at the time this posting was issued. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as job responsibilities, education, experience, skills, internal equity, market data, applicable collective bargaining agreements, and relevant laws.
