Job summary

KellyMitchell is seeking an IT Project Manager II for Physical Security in Oakland, CA. You will oversee planning and execution of security system projects across access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, and related infra, using PMO templates.

The role requires coordinating field teams, vendors, and stakeholders, while managing schedules, budgets, and risk. Hybrid work includes office, field, and remote tasks with local travel.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of project management experience in physical security, field construction, or related environments
• Experience managing physical security or low-voltage installation projects (access control, CCTV, intrusion, alarms)
• Knowledge of physical security technologies and platforms (AMAG, Software House, Genetec)
• Experience coordinating field construction activities, subcontractors, vendors, and multiple stakeholders
• Ability to read construction drawings, wiring diagrams, specs, and design docs
• Experience managing schedules, budgets, risks, issues, change orders, and closeouts in PMO environments
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to field sites

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage project plans, schedules, budgets, resource allocations, risk logs, communication plans, and PMO-based docs
• Lead physical security projects (access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, alarms, perimeter protection)
• Conduct site assessments to validate requirements, installation conditions, and risks
• Coordinate subcontractors, technicians, vendors, and teams to meet scope, safety, timelines, and quality
• Manage procurement activities for materials, permits, and installation needs while monitoring budgets and hours
• Review installation quality, troubleshoot issues, coordinate inspections, testing, and closeout activities
• Serve as primary contact for Corporate Security, IT, partners, vendors, and stakeholders with status updates and handoffs
