Strategic Staffing Solutions, Inc. seeks an experienced IT Project Manager for a 24-month engagement in Charlotte, NC. Fully remote with quarterly in-person planning sessions.

The role requires a 10+ year track record in project management, hybrid waterfall and scrum, and strong vendor and team leadership. W2 only, no C2C, with potential to convert to FTE. The candidate will manage scope, schedule, cost, risk, and quality, coordinate IT requirements with analysts, and oversee testing to achieve

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science/computer information systems or related field with 10+ years in project management.
• Strong experience with hybrid waterfall and scrum methodologies.
• Expertise in project scheduling, cost controls, quality, risk and issue management.
• Experience creating WBS and schedules with dependencies and durations.
• Ability to assist IT Requirements/Business Analysts with gathering requirements.
• Capable of motivating teams and resolving conflicts.
• Oversee vendors to deliver per SOW milestones and manage tech teams for requirements.
• Oversee testing to meet UAT signoff.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer scienceComputer Information Systems or related field and 10+ years of project management, decision making, critical thinking and problem solving experience.
• Demonstrated strong experience working with hybrid waterfall and scrum methodologies.
• Demonstrated strong expertise in project related scheduling, project and cost controls, quality, risk and issue management.
• Demonstrated experience creating work break down structure based on defined scope and creates work schedule and dependencies and durations accordingly.
• Ability to assist IT Requirements/Business Analyst(s) with information gathering tasks and extracting requirements from project team.
• Ability to motivate team members to accomplish set goals. Manages conflict among project team members.
• Ability to oversee and ensure vendor(s) is delivering per executed Project SOW milestones.
• Ability to oversee and ensure technical team is delivering per documented IT project requirements.
• Ability to oversee and ensure testing team appropriately plans and executes test phases to meet UAT signoff.

Desired Qualifications

• Regulated utility energy services experience
• Masters – business (MBA), project management, or equivalent
• PMI (PMP) / CMII / AACE / Utility Technical Certifications
• Experience with Learning Management system implementations.

Responsibilities

• Create / Staff / Lead Project Team. Sr PM's provide leadership, oversight, direction, management, delegation, and coordination with various internal and external organizations that are providing services to the project. Sr PMs manage matrixed members of the team daily. They interface with functional leaders of matrixed team members regarding placement, development and conflict resolution.
• Establish and maintain communications among all project/program’s stakeholders. Structure, lead, or assist in project related meetings to ensure open communication between team members, key stakeholders, and management. Prepare, communicate or report monthly project status, kickoff meetings, weekly and monthly required communication. Assure Project Plans, appropriate reporting means are developed and communicated according to PMCoE Standards and Business Unit implementing procedures. Effectively communicate with appropriate management / governance team.
• Plan assigned project (s) including scope, schedule, cost, safety, and quality aspects. Champion the process of project planning including scope and work definition, estimating, schedule formation, monitoring, cost control measures, procurement/contracting strategies, equipment selection, start-up and commissioning plans, integration processes, and warranty management as applicable.
• Execute projects according to plans within approved scope, cost and schedule constraints. Includes objectives, stakeholders, scope, roles and responsibilities, assumptions and constraints, deliverables, Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), schedule, external communication, regulatory strategy, procurement strategy, contractor and supplier strategy, resource plans, budget, lessons learned, risk plan, quality plan, safety plan, environmental plan, security plan, integration plan, data management plan, communications and reporting plan, change management, and project close out.
• Effective Presentation Skills. Ability to create, develop and deliver project presentations to Senior Management / project sponsors.
