IT Project Manager – Agile Software Delivery

Job summary

Medpace is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead planning, execution, and delivery of custom software that supports our clinical and business operations. You will collaborate with developers, stakeholders, and IT leadership to ensure on-time, within-scope delivery of internal software solutions.

Responsibilities include end-to-end project management, detailed planning, and coordinating Agile ceremonies, while ensuring regulatory and quality standards are met and risk is monitored

Qualifications

• 3+ years of IT or software-project management experience.
• Strong knowledge of SDLC and Agile methodologies.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Experience with change management tools (e.g., Azure DevOps).
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end project management for custom software development.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocation schedules.
• Facilitate communication between IT development teams, business stakeholders, and executive leadership.
• Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders and technical teams.
• Identify, track, and mitigate project risks and issues, escalating as appropriate.
• Manage project documentation, including requirements, status reports, and change requests.
• Coordinate sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives for teams using Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Ensure software development projects comply with relevant regulatory, quality, and data integrity standards (e.g., GxP, 21 CFR Part 11, SOx).
• Support change management and user adoption efforts for newly deployed software, including working with the business to run pilot studies; and
• Conduct post-project reviews to capture lessons learned and improve future project delivery.
