The Maricopa County Recorder's Office (MCRO) is seeking an IT Project Manager to organize and drive project delivery across business and technical teams. You will define objectives, develop plans, coordinate activities, and manage risks for software, infrastructure, and vendor-supported initiatives.
You will liaise with sponsors, stakeholders, vendors, and staff to ensure on-time, within-scope delivery while maintaining strong communication and problem-solving skills.

The IT Project Manager is responsible for organizing and driving project delivery across business and technical teams. Projects may include software development, application implementation, infrastructure, vendor-supported solutions, system enhancements, and other technology initiatives. The IT Project Manager works with project sponsors, stakeholders, technical teams, vendors, and operational staff to define project objectives, develop delivery plans, coordinate project activities, monitor progress, manage risks and dependencies, and communicate project status. The successful candidate will be able to lead projects with competing priorities, fixed deadlines, cross-functional dependencies, and significant operational impact. The position requires strong planning, communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder-management skills.
The Maricopa County Recorder's Office (MCRO) is responsible for maintaining the Maricopa County voter registration records and for administering over elections in partnership with the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors. The MCRO also maintains the permanent public record of over 50 million documents dating back to 1871, including deeds, plat maps, and a variety of other important documents. Our office serves over 2.5 million registered voters as well as 4.4 million residents across Maricopa County. Most work is performed in both office and remote work environments. Employees may be eligible for hybrid work arrangements in accordance with Office policies and operational requirements. Regular on-site attendance is required to support business operations, meetings, and critical functions. Extensive mandatory overtime during the Primary/General election cycle.
