Aquent is seeking a Senior Technical Project Manager to lead a portfolio of technical initiatives. You will guide cross-functional teams across engineering, product, and leadership to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.

You will influence planning, governance, and orchestration of large programs, develop robust governance, and drive cost controls and ROI analysis to support strategic business objectives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of technical project/program management experience with enterprise-class solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of Cloud technologies, APIs, services, databases, and platform dependencies.
  • Experience with Agile, Lean, Kanban, and Waterfall, blending methods to deliver.

Responsibilities

  • Drive execution and delivery of technical projects through full lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with engineering, product, and leadership to optimize processes.
  • Define and manage Agile ceremonies for large project teams.
  • Oversee hardware and software procurement for projects.
  • Develop a program plan with parallel projects and multiple managers.
  • Monitor and adjust plans to meet business goals.

We are seeking an exceptional individual to step into a Senior Technical Project Manager role, where you will be instrumental in identifying, planning, and coordinating a portfolio of interconnected projects. Your expertise will directly influence the successful delivery of strategic business objectives, ensuring projects are not only on time and within budget but also exceed quality expectations. What You’ll Do
  • Drive the execution and delivery of technical projects through the full lifecycle, ensuring timely and on-budget completion.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams, including Software Engineers, Product Managers, Architects, and leadership, to establish and optimize processes that ensure success on strategically prioritized projects and improve overall efficiency.
  • Define, optimize, and manage Agile project management ceremonies and processes for large project teams.
  • Manage hardware and software procurement for assigned projects.
  • Develop a comprehensive program plan comprising parallel projects and multiple project managers, collectively producing work with significant business impact.
  • Monitor and adjust program plans to respond effectively to unplanned changes, ensuring the program consistently progresses towards meeting business goals.
  • Create robust governance practices and provide senior-level leadership oversight and control for the program.
  • Implement fiscal practices and controls, including authorizing, recording, and reporting on program expenditures and ROI.
  • Develop the necessary infrastructure to support program objectives.
Must-Have Qualifications & Skills
  • Minimum of 5 years of technical project/program management experience, specifically working with technical teams developing enterprise-class solutions.
  • Strong understanding of Cloud technologies, APIs, services, database technologies, technologist roles and responsibilities, capabilities, and platform dependencies.
  • In-depth knowledge of the software development lifecycle, engineering, and/or product development.
  • Proven ability in influence, negotiation, and professional communication, coupled with strong organizational savvy and relationship-building skills.
  • Expertise in dependency mapping.
  • Hands-on experience with practices such as Agile, Lean, Kanban, and Waterfall, with extensive experience in pragmatically blending styles to facilitate collaboration and delivery.
  • Deep understanding of Agile technical practices, DevOps, and testing concepts (CI/CD, TDD).
  • Significant experience in coaching and mentoring teams on project management practices.
  • Excellent ability to understand architectural and technical aspects of a project.
  • Experience managing large project budgets.
  • Proficiency with tools such as Microsoft suite, Keynote, Smartsheet, Clarity, Jira, Tableau, and PowerBI.
  • Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent work experience.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
  • Experience in supporting large-scale, global software development programs.
  • Agile Certifications such as CSM, ACP, CPO, SAFe, or LeSS.
