Job summary

ManpowerGroup’s client seeks an IT Project Manager to lead cross-functional initiatives across multiple business areas within the PMO. You will partner with business stakeholders, technology teams, and senior leadership to deliver strategic projects in both Waterfall and Agile environments.

The role covers technology implementations, system conversions, process improvements, enterprise architecture, cybersecurity programs, and business transformation initiatives in a hybrid Laurel, MD setting

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
• 3–6+ years of PM experience on medium-to-large projects including system conversions, platform migrations, EA, infra, IT transformations.
• Agile certification required (CSM, PMI-ACP, SAFe, Scrum Master, or similar).
• Experience delivering projects with both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
• Financial Services/Banking/credit union experience preferred.
• Experience working with senior leadership and executives.
• Strong governance, risk management and stakeholder communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, milestones, risks, issues, and status reports.

• Assist in transitioning projects between Waterfall and Agile delivery methodologies as appropriate.
• Maintain project documentation and reporting within Planview and other PM tools.

Our client, a leading organization in the financial services industry, is seeking an IT Project Manager to join its Project Management Office (PMO). This individual will be responsible for leading cross‑functional initiatives across multiple business areas, partnering with business stakeholders, technology teams, and senior leadership to successfully deliver strategic projects. The ideal candidate will have experience managing projects in both Waterfall and Agile environments and possess strong communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.

This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of projects including technology implementations, system conversions, process improvement initiatives, enterprise architecture efforts, cybersecurity programs, and business transformation projects.

Job Title: IT Project Manager

Location: Laurel, MD (Hybrid: 3 Days Onsite/2 Days Remote)

Job Type: Contract‑to‑Hire

Pay Range: $45/hr - $60/hr W2 (Dependent on Years of PM Experience)

What's Needed?

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.

• 3-6+ years of proven project management experience managing medium‑to‑large‑scale projects involving system conversions, platform migrations, enterprise architecture, infrastructure, and/or IT transformation initiatives.

• Agile certification required (CSM, PMI-ACP, SAFe, Scrum Master, or similar).

• Demonstrated experience leading and delivering projects using both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.

• Experience operating in both Agile and Waterfall environments.

• Financial Services, Banking, Credit Union, or related Financial Institution experience strongly preferred.

• Experience working directly with executive leadership and senior stakeholders.

• Strong skills in project governance, risk management, and stakeholder communication.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and project management tools.

Preferred:

• PMP Certification.

• Experience using Planview project and portfolio management (PPM) platform or experience with other PPM software/tools.
