Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated IT Project Manager to support a major public-sector education client in Southern Nevada. This contract role is focused on delivering large-scale information technology projects that advance educational technology, cybersecurity, and operational modernization initiatives across a dynamic enterprise environment.

The Project Manager will be responsible for full-lifecycle project delivery—ranging from charter development through implementation, performance evaluation, and project closure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of diverse IT projects such as:
• Learning Management Systems (LMS)
• Identity and Access Management (IAM)
• Network Infrastructure Modernization
• Cybersecurity Enhancements
• Student Information System (SIS) Implementations
• Develop and manage all project artifacts:
• Charters, schedules, budgets, resource allocations
• Risk and issue logs, communication plans, and stakeholder updates
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams, third-party vendors, and internal leadership
• Facilitate project meetings, resolve blockers, and maintain alignment with organizational objectives
• Submit weekly time logs and monthly project summaries, including milestone progress and overall project health
• Ensure all deliverables meet defined requirements, timelines, and compliance standards

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business, or related field (Master’s preferred)
• Minimum 5 years of progressive experience managing complex IT projects
• Previous experience delivering projects in education, public sector, or government environments strongly preferred
• Familiarity with project management frameworks (PMI/PMP, Agile, Waterfall, etc.)
• Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and documentation skills
• Knowledge of enterprise IT environments, including Microsoft Active Directory, virtual machines, cloud infrastructure, VoIP, and WAN/LAN networking
• PMP or comparable certification is a plus

Additional Requirements:

• Must pass a comprehensive background investigation in compliance with public-sector client standards
• Must provide verified professional references, including two prior direct supervisors
• Must be available for remote work with occasional onsite presence in Southern Nevada (travel expenses reimbursed for non-local candidates)
• Will be required to comply with client-specific Professional Services Agreements and reporting standards
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM PST
• Project Duration: 1-year contract with potential renewals
• Location: Remote with periodic travel to client site in Southern Nevada
