Job summary

OneOncology's IT Projects & Integrations team delivers technology initiatives that keep our managed practices modern, resilient, and secure. The Project Engineer II leads larger multi-workstream projects, owning architecture and mentoring junior staff while coordinating with IT Operations, Security, and vendors.

This role supports practice onboardings, integrations, and major infrastructure upgrades. The ideal candidate has 8–10 years of infrastructure engineering with project delivery

Qualifications

  • 8 to 10 years of progressive infrastructure engineering with project delivery ownership.
  • Healthcare or MSP integration experience preferred.
  • PCNSE, Aruba ACMA, VCP, or AZ-104 strongly preferred.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 30% throughout the continental United States.

Responsibilities

  • Own solution architecture for medium-to-large multi-workstream projects.
  • Lead planning and execution of infrastructure project workstreams, including new practice IT integrations, network refreshes, and hardware installations.
  • Serve as technical lead during new practice integrations — determining infrastructure readiness requirements and directing on-site and remote configuration work.
  • Drive coordination with Service Delivery, IT Operations, Security, and vendors throughout project delivery.
  • Partner with IT Project Managers to align engineering deliverables with project milestones, providing updates on status, risks, blockers, and resource needs.
  • Conduct technical risk reviews and dependency mapping across workstreams.
  • Mentor Project Technicians and Project Engineer I on architecture, standards, and delivery discipline.
  • Represent the Projects team in practice IT strategy conversations and QBRs where applicable.
  • Contribute to standards evolution based on delivery learnings and post-project reviews.
  • Own as-built documentation quality and clean hand-offs to IT Operations and Service Delivery.
  • Partner with IT SMEs/Architects on complex or precedent-setting designs.
  • Travel frequently to practice sites in support of assigned projects.

The role owns technical delivery quality and mentors junior project staff. The ideal candidate brings multi-domain engineering depth and cross-functional project leadership.This is a full-time remote position.
