Job summary

Prince George’s County Government's Office of Information Technology seeks an IT Project Architect to lead architectural strategy and project delivery across county agencies. You will oversee governance, risk management, and cross-functional collaboration to align IT initiatives with business goals.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree and 3 years of IT experience with supervisory responsibilities, plus preferred PM certifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required or equivalent.
• Three (3) years of information technology experience with at least one (1) year in lead/supervisory duties.
• Equivalency for supervisory experience is not allowed.

Responsibilities

• Lead architectural assessment, design, and planning of complex technology solutions.
• Engage agency leadership to develop enterprise roadmaps and project portfolios.
• Coordinate cross-functional solution design workshops with stakeholders.
• Develop business cases and funding justifications for budgets.
• Direct large-scale IT initiatives from concept to delivery.
• Provide governance artifacts and reporting for projects.
