POSITION SUMMARY:

The IT Program Manager is responsible for managing complex provider-facing technologies & solutions with multiple cross-team integration points using various methodologies. The IT Program Manager manages program schedules, costs, and quality proactively, making recommendations aligned with program objectives. This role leverages technical knowledge, best practices, and organizational dynamics to remove impediments and mitigate issues and risks. The IT Program Manager will mentor others on agile, waterfall, and project management methodologies, driving towards continuous improvement. This is an individual contributor role focusing on managing a variety of IT-related projects.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Manage sub-project dependencies and program constructs.
2. Understand how agile and waterfall frameworks work to deliver business value and how practices can evolve.
3. Identify the appropriate level of granularity to satisfy visibility and control needs.
4. Communicate complex schedules and inter-dependencies clearly to stakeholders.
5. Develop comprehensive schedules across multiple methodologies.
6. Monitor future work to proactively adjust plans and resources, and foresee scheduling challenges.
7. Identify, solicit, and document project risks and impediments at initiation and throughout the project lifecycle.
8. Collect effort estimates and understand capacity to derive accurate durations.
9. Plan and facilitate standard meetings such as backlog grooming, iteration planning, retrospectives, reviews, and daily stand-ups.
10. Recommend deviations from standard processes and gain stakeholder consensus.
11. Provide qualitative and quantitative status updates aligned with project success criteria and goals.
12. Address quality issues directly with the team and communicate proactively with stakeholders for long-term resolution.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Seven or more years of IT experience, including managing projects and leading teams.
• Prior experience with provider-facing IT projects is highly desired.
• At least three years of Agile experience, with SAFe recommended.
• Relevant certifications preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
• Experience with large-scale, technically complex projects.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention to detail skills.
• Proficiency with business software such as Microsoft Office, Clarity, MS Project, TFS, Jira.
• Ability to influence, manage conflicts, and promote teamwork.
• Highly adaptable to changing environments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Salary Range*

$98,200 - $151,360
