Job Overview

The IT Program Manager performs program management activities, to include defining program strategy, goals, and objectives and planning for and leading the execution of multiple projects in support of the program strategy within the Revenue Cycle IT Program.

Additional Information

Hours per Week: 40, eligible for benefits Shift: Monday - Friday, 8am-5pm. Work hours may vary based on the needs of the department. *This is a hybrid position. Flexibility is required to support project and program needs, which may occasionally include evening or weekend hours for critical project milestones, system implementations, go-lives, maintenance activities, stakeholder meetings, or other operational priorities. Travel between hospital locations may be required as needed.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Partners with senior management to identify and prioritize business and information technology goals and objectives; develops and maintains the program strategy and supporting business case, which includes program documentation.
  • Defines and initiates program and project objectives, works with IT manager to assign project managers to manage cost, schedule, and performance of projects, and oversees multiple projects directed at achieving a strategic goal.
  • Develops, implements, and monitors program budgets that are complex in nature; allocates shared resources among projects within the program; prepares reports detailing the status of the program budget and compliance to any requirements as specified by funding sources.
  • Manages the vendor selection process; develops, negotiates, implements and monitors contracts, ensuring conformance to approved plans and contract specifications.
  • Performs lead work over project managers who have been assigned responsibility for various projects within the program; establishes work plan responsibilities and scope of authority for project managers; ensures technical proficiency and productivity of project managers or team members and arranges for training as necessary.
  • Manages the overall risk of the program, which includes conducting risk and cost-benefit analyses and devising strategies to deal with unexpected crises and unresolved risks.
  • Monitors program milestones to maintain continuous alignment of program scope with strategic business objectives; ensures projects within the program are completed within established time and budget schedules; recommends modifications to project managers to enhance the effectiveness toward the business result or strategic intent.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Degrees
    • Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, computer science, or a directly related field
  • Experience
    • Seven (7) years of project management or business and project analyst experience
    • Preference will be given to those applicants with healthcare and/or Revenue Cycle experience
  • Equivalency
    • In lieu of bachelor's degree, professional experience will substitute on a year for year basis.
Salary Information

Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience. Annual Salary Range (Based on 40 hours worked per week): $117,859.15 to $176,788.73
