Job summary

The Division of Social Services (DSS) in Carson City, Nevada seeks an IT Professional II to maintain and develop Java applications, test solutions, and support production rollouts. You will gather end-user requirements, assist with UAT testing, and document technical designs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, MIS, or closely related field; plus 2 years IT experience or equivalent.
• Experience with Java applications and SQL/DB2 databases.
• Ability to gather requirements, assist with UAT testing and production rollout.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and develop new applications for the Division of Social Services; design, develop or modify Java applications and test solutions.
• Perform independent research to uncover technical solutions and document them.
• Support production systems, participate in after-hours releases as needed, and create technical design documents/flow diagrams.
