Qualifications

  • Certifications: Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), PMP, or similar Agile certification preferred.

Overview

Job Title: IT Product Owner –Business Central & Salesforce

Location: Remote

Department: Information Technology

Reports To: Chief Information Officer

Responsibilities

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced IT Product Owner with deep functional and technical expertise in both Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and Salesforce, along with strong project management capabilities. This role is critical to shaping and executing the product strategy across both platforms while also leading the delivery of broader IT initiatives through Agile and traditional project management frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own the product roadmap, backlog, and lifecycle for Salesforce and Business Central, ensuring strategic alignment with business goals.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert and primary liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams for both platforms.
  • Develop project plans, track milestones, identify and mitigate risks, and drive the timely delivery of business outcomes.
  • Drive enhancements, upgrades, and integrations within Salesforce (ie Sales Cloud, Service Cloud) and Microsoft Business Central (ie Finance, Projects, Inventory).
  • Make architecture and configuration recommendations aligned with industry best practices and company objectives.
  • Oversee data integrity, governance, and cross-platform process optimization.
  • Act as Scrum Master in Agile environments, facilitating sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Coordinate and validate User Acceptance Testing with business stakeholders to ensure functionality meets defined acceptance criteria.
  • Ensure all deliverables align with compliance, quality standards, and stakeholder expectations.
  • Create and distribute clear release notes, training materials, and system documentation.
  • Communicate system updates, roadmap changes, and process impacts effectively across business units.
  • Lead, mentor, and support the development team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Assist the broader IT team in managing projects outside of Salesforce and Business Central (ie Power BI dashboards, infrastructure implementations, security initiatives, or user training).
Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Business, or a related field is a plus. Advanced degrees or certifications in project management or Agile methodologies are a plus.
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Project Manager, or Sr Business Systems Analyst with direct accountability for Salesforce and Business Central.
  • Skills:
    • Deep expertise with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and Salesforce
    • Strong understanding of Project Management and Agile methodologies
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
    • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
    • Technical acumen to understand software development processes and IT systems.
    • Problem-solving skills and a detail-oriented mindset.
  • Certifications: Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), PMP, or similar Agile certification is preferred.
