Job summary

Western Alliance Bancorporation is seeking a Staff IT Analyst II to review processes and metrics, identify constraints, and develop options to improve business outcomes. You will lead artifact development describing current-state processes and assist with risk, governance, and compliance activities.

The role requires 5+ years in IT operations or governance, ITIL/COBIT familiarity, and strong communication with IT, Product, and business teams.

Qualifications

ITIL Foundation or higher certification.
Process improvement or Lean/Six Sigma framework.
Knowledge of GRC, risk management, audit support, or compliance programs.
Familiarity with service management tools (e.g., ServiceNow).
5+ years of related experience in IT Operations, Service Management, Process and data analysis, or IT compliance and governance.
Bachelor's degree in information technology, Business or related field; practical experience accepted.
Financial services familiarity and regulatory awareness preferred.
Intermediate notes on regulatory and legal obligations in IT governance.

Responsibilities

Lead projects to achieve defined business outcomes and align with objectives.
Facilitate stakeholder discussions to gather requirements and resolve issues.
Develop critical documentation and artifacts for high-quality deliverables.
Leverage risk management experience in a financial institution context.
Capture KRIs, KPIs, and operational metrics as needed.
Document IT processes, standards, and procedures across service management and security.
Support IT practices aligned with ITIL, COBIT, and internal governance models.
Identify gaps and improvement opportunities with IT teams.
Maintain process documentation, workflows, and SOPs.
Assist audits, risk assessments, and compliance activities with evidence and remediation tracking.
Monitor IT process performance using KPIs and dashboards.
Facilitate process reviews and workshops to drive adoption.
Ensure IT practices align with business objectives and industry trends.
