Job summary

Valmont Industries, Inc. is seeking a Sr Manager, IT Portfolio & Governance in Omaha, NE to lead the enterprise portfolio and governance function within the Global IT strategy and operations team.

You will translate business priorities into a unified portfolio view and enable informed trade-offs across IT and OT. The role requires 7+ years in portfolio leadership, strong collaboration, and ability to drive decisions in a highly matrixed environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT/Business Management with 7+ years relevant experience, or 11+ years’ relevant experience.
• Federated model experience, partnering with business-facing prioritization and demand management.
• Ability to enable enterprise-level decision-making balancing priorities, capacity, financial constraints, and risk.
• Experience with portfolio-level financial management, including budgeting and forecasting.
• Experience defining and managing IT policies, standards, and governance processes.
• Demonstrated ability to manage risk and exception processes with visibility and accountability.
• Strong collaboration and influencing skills across IT, business, and leadership teams.
• Excellent communication and leadership to translate complex portfolio information for senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise portfolio management and align initiatives to IT business priorities.
• Oversee portfolio financial management, budgeting, forecasting, and funding visibility.
• Establish a unified intake and tracking process for technology demand.
• Consolidate priorities, capacity, and financial inputs into a clear portfolio view.
• Facilitate trade-off discussions across business units to balance demand and capacity.
• Maintain a single source of truth for the technology portfolio including scope and timelines.
• Define, audit IT standards and governance with the IT GRC team.
• Drive continuous improvement of portfolio governance processes.
