Job summary

Neumo is seeking an IT Patch Administrator to manage and deploy software patches across multiple systems, ensuring security, compliance, and minimal downtime. The role collaborates with IT teams to schedule deployments, test patches in controlled environments, and monitor success rates.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in IT/CS, experience in patch management, and proficiency with PowerShell, Bash, or Python for automation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Proven experience in patch management or systems administration within a medium to large IT environment.
• Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, or similar.
• Experience with automation and scripting languages like PowerShell, Bash, or Python to streamline patch deployment.
• Experience working in regulated industries with compliance requirements (e.g., HIPAA, PCI-DSS).

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain patch management policies and procedures to ensure timely and effective deployment of software updates.
• Coordinate with system administrators, network engineers, and security teams to schedule and deploy patches across servers, workstations, and network devices.
• Test patches in a controlled environment to assess compatibility and potential impact before full deployment.
• Monitor patch deployment status and troubleshoot any issues that arise during or after patch application.
• Maintain detailed documentation of patch management activities, including schedules, deployment results, and compliance reports.
• Stay current with emerging vulnerabilities, patch releases, and industry best practices to continuously improve patch management processes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
