Job summary

CommonSpirit Health is seeking an IT PACS Systems Administrator to lead the management, maintenance, and optimization of the PACS and enterprise imaging infrastructure. You will oversee system health, complex configurations, and data migrations while mentoring junior staff and ensuring security and compliance.

You will work closely with radiology teams and clinical staff to ensure reliable access to imaging data and high-quality patient care.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As an IT PACS Systems Administrator, you will be a lead technical expert, responsible for advanced management, maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of our PACS and enterprise imaging infrastructure.

Every day you will oversee system health, implement complex configurations, manage data migration, resolve critical issues, ensure security/compliance, and mentor junior staff, collaborating with imaging departments.

To be successful, you will possess deep PACS architecture expertise, extensive experience with database management, virtualization, storage, and networking in healthcare imaging.

• Oversee the complete administration of Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) and related medical imaging applications infrastructure.
• Lead the implementation, configuration, and maintenance of PACS and related medical imaging applications software and hardware components.
• Contribute to the resolution and documentation of major incidents and outages to our production environment.
• Collaborate closely with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure efficient use of the PACS system.
• Proactively monitor and optimize PACS performance, identifying and resolving issues to ensure uninterrupted access to medical imaging data.
• Provide advanced technical support and training to end-users, troubleshooting complex PACS-related problems.

Job Requirements

Required

• Bachelors Other or equivalent job experience in Medical Imaging related field, computer science, Health Informatics, clinical imaging technology.
• Three (3) years of experience in PACS administration including hands-on involvement in system implementation and optimization.
