CommonSpirit Health in Englewood, CO is seeking an IT PACS Senior Systems Administrator to lead the advanced management, maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of our PACS and enterprise imaging infrastructure.

You will oversee system health, implement complex configurations, manage data migration, resolve critical incidents, ensure security and compliance, and mentor junior staff while collaborating with radiology teams to ensure reliable access to medical imaging data.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Medical Imaging, CS, Health Informatics, or clinical imaging technology.
  • 7+ years of PACS administration experience including system implementation and optimization.
  • In-depth knowledge of data security regulations and compliance standards in healthcare.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the complete administration of PACS and related imaging infrastructure.
  • Lead implementation, configuration, and maintenance of PACS software and hardware components.
  • Facilitate resolution and documentation of major incidents and outages in production environments.
  • Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and healthcare professionals to ensure efficient use of PACS.
  • Mentor junior staff and proactively monitor and optimize PACS performance.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As an IT PACS Sr. Systems Administrator, you will be a lead technical expert, responsible for advanced management, maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of our PACS and enterprise imaging infrastructure.

Every day you will oversee system health, implement complex configurations, manage data migration, resolve critical issues, ensure security/compliance, and mentor junior staff, collaborating with imaging departments.

To be successful, you will possess deep PACS architecture expertise, extensive experience with database management, virtualization, storage, and networking in healthcare imaging.

  • Oversee the complete administration of Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS)and related medical imaging applications infrastructure.
  • Lead the implementation, configuration, and maintenance of PACS and related medical imaging applications software and hardware components.
  • Facilitates the resolution and documentation of major incidents and outages to our production environment.
  • Collaborate closely with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure efficient use of the PACS system.
  • Proactively monitor and optimize PACS performance, identifying and resolving issues to ensure uninterrupted access to medical imaging data.
  • Provide advanced technical support and training to end-users, troubleshooting complex PACS-related problems.
Job Requirements

Required

  • Bachelors Other or equivalent job experience in Medical Imaging related field, computer science, Health Informatics, clinical imaging technology, upon hire.
  • 7+ years of experience in PACS Administration including hands-on involvement in system implementation and optimization.
  • In-depth knowledge of data security regulations and compliance standards in healthcare.
