VP DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION & TECHNOLOGY in Norfolk, VA seeks a Computer Ops Technician I to deliver timely tech support, monitor networks, and assist with data center operations. The role involves handling desktop and printing systems, plus effective communication with staff and customers.

The ideal candidate will understand PC workstation operations, UNIX environments, and basic network monitoring, enabling quick resolutions and reliable user support in a centralized client/server setting.

Formación

• Demonstrated knowledge of PC workstation operation in a centralized client/server environment.
• Working knowledge of UNIX client/server environments.
• Working knowledge of network operations and monitoring in a data network environment.
• Knowledge of computing equipment including laser printing systems, tape backup systems, SANs.
• Ability to explain computer-related situations clearly in writing and speech.

Responsabilidades

• Provide timely and accurate technology support services to walk-up and phone inquiries.
• Monitor networks and systems to help ensure availability and performance.
• Assist with data center administration and computing equipment operations.
• Support enterprise printing and related peripheral systems.
• Communicate effectively with staff and customers about issues and resolutions.
