Nucor Corporation is seeking an IT Operations Technician for Nucor Business Technology (NBT) at the Sheridan, AR site. You will configure, operate, and maintain enterprise systems and support internal IT partners across the company.

The role focuses on deploying equipment, software support, and contributing to AI-powered workflow improvements while ensuring safety and security compliance.

Qualifications

• 1 year of technical experience supporting users with hardware, software, and IT customer support.
• IT related associate degree or 2 years of equivalent recent experience.
• Must obtain AZ-900, MD-102, and AZ-104 within the first year.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to employees via phone, email, chat, and ticketing system; include on-site and remote support.
• Order, configure, and deploy new equipment and manage used inventory.
• Assist in installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and licensing of software and applications.
• Troubleshoot and maintain IT infrastructure equipment (computers, phones, servers, access control systems, network devices).
• Create and support user accounts and group memberships.
• Support project work as assigned.
• Create and maintain documentation for incidents, projects, and inventory.
• Work a rotational on-call IT support schedule including evenings and weekends.

Basic Job Functions:

Nucor Business Technology (NBT) is seeking qualified applicants for the position ofIT Operations Technician. This position is responsible for configuring, operating, and maintaining various enterprise-wide systems as well as supporting internal IT partners across the enterprise. The IT Operations Technician will provide technical support to Nucor Insulated Panel Group as required. Installing, configuring, testing, and supporting various business applications and infrastructure hardware (networking, computers, camera systems, wireless hand-held devices, etc.).

This position will be onsite, located at our Nucor Insulated Panel Group division in Sheridan, AR.

This role plays a key part in accelerating ourAI and automation roadmap,including the design and implementation of agentic systems that reduce manual effort and improve workflow efficiency. This position will require a partnership with business stakeholders to translate real operational challenges into scalable, AI‑powered solutions.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Create and maintain documentation regarding incidents, projects, and inventory
• Work a rotational on-call IT support schedule to include evenings and weekends asassigned
• Must obtain AZ-900 Certification, MD-102, and AZ-104 Certification within the first year

Minimum Qualifications:

• 1-year technical experience supporting users with hardware, software, administration and IT customer support as defined in the responsibilities
• IT related associate degree, or 2 years of equivalent recent experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting MS Windows, Office, Outlook, and other basic Windows applications
• Experience troubleshooting networking equipment, Conference rooms audio/visual, and access control systems/cameras/badges
• Experience with workstation imaging software and an MDM solution such as Microsoft Intune
• Experience in a heavy industrial setting
• SAS Platform experience
• Microsoft PowerShell Experience
• Microsoft ADO Experience
• Experience working in a Scrum project management framework
