Enterprise Operations | Asset Governance | Service Delivery

About the Opportunity

We are partnering with a growing, multi-site organization seeking an experienced IT Operations Manager to lead enterprise IT operations, asset management, logistics, and service delivery functions across a distributed environment.

This individual will play a critical leadership role overseeing IT support services, technology asset governance, warehouse and logistics operations, deployment programs, vendor relationships, and operational excellence initiatives. The ideal candidate combines strong leadership capabilities with hands‑on operational expertise and a passion for delivering exceptional service to end users.

Key Responsibilities

IT Operations Leadership

• Lead and develop IT Operations, Asset Management, and Logistics teams.
• Establish operational goals, KPIs, SLAs, and performance metrics aligned with business objectives.
• Oversee daily support operations and escalation management processes.
• Partner with IT leadership to execute strategic technology initiatives.
• Drive continuous improvement efforts focused on service quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

Asset Lifecycle Management

• Own the complete lifecycle of enterprise IT assets, from procurement through retirement.
• Develop and maintain asset management standards, controls, and governance practices.
• Ensure inventory accuracy through audits, reconciliations, and reporting.
• Manage asset tracking, warehousing, deployment, recovery, redeployment, and decommissioning activities.
• Ensure compliance with hardware standards, software licensing, security policies, and disposal procedures.
• Partner with Finance and Procurement to forecast technology needs, manage costs, and maximize asset investments.

Logistics & Warehouse Operations

• Oversee IT warehouse operations, inventory control, and stock management.
• Direct device staging, imaging, kitting, shipping, receiving, and deployment activities.
• Ensure technology readiness for new locations, facility expansions, relocations, and refresh initiatives.
• Implement and improve operational procedures that increase efficiency and inventory accuracy.
• Forecast inventory demand and monitor stock levels to minimize shortages and excess inventory.
• Manage relationships with vendors supporting procurement, deployment, and lifecycle services.
• Lead enterprise technology refresh initiatives and hardware replacement programs.
• Coordinate deployment schedules, vendor activities, logistics, installation efforts, and asset-control processes.
• Support successful implementation of new-site technology deployments and infrastructure readiness activities.
• Assist with project planning, readiness assessments, status reporting, and execution tracking.
• Manage relationships with technology suppliers, logistics providers, and service partners.
• Monitor vendor performance against service levels, contractual obligations, and quality expectations.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, procurement planning, and lifecycle cost management.
• Identify opportunities for operational efficiencies and cost savings through vendor optimization and process improvements.

Service Management & Governance

• Monitor operational dashboards, service metrics, and customer experience indicators.
• Develop and maintain SOPs, policies, knowledge base articles, and process documentation.
• Support major incident response and business continuity initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with IT governance, security, audit, and operational requirements.
• Provide operational reporting, trend analysis, risk assessments, and performance insights to leadership.

Leadership & Team Development

• Recruit, mentor, and develop high-performing IT professionals.
• Support performance management, career development, and succession planning initiatives.
• Foster a culture centered on accountability, collaboration, innovation, and customer service.
• Build strong partnerships across IT, Operations, Finance, Supply Chain, Facilities, Security, Procurement, and external vendor teams.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive experience in IT Operations, Service Delivery, Asset Management, Infrastructure Support, Logistics, or related areas.
• 2+ years of leadership experience managing technical teams.
• Experience overseeing enterprise asset management programs and large-scale technology deployments.
• Strong understanding of ITIL principles, incident management, service delivery, and operational support frameworks.
• Experience with:
• Inventory management systems
• CMDB practices
• Service Management/ITSM tools
• Procurement and asset lifecycle processes
• Excellent communication, organizational, analytical, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to travel as needed and support occasional after-hours operational requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• ITIL Certification.
• Experience supporting multi-site operations within retail, manufacturing, distribution, logistics, or similar industries.
• Experience managing IT warehouse and logistics functions.
• PMP, CAPM, Agile, or equivalent project management experience.
• Experience with endpoint management, enterprise asset management, discovery, and CMDB platforms.
