Job summary

MISUMI Americas is seeking an IT Operations Engineer to support and secure Misumi technology systems. You will manage Entra ID, MFA, provisioning, and lifecycle while automating alerting and reporting. The role covers SaaS platforms like Microsoft 365 and Slack, plus on-site networking with Cisco Meraki and FortiGate.

You will collaborate with IT leadership on identity lifecycle, ROBOps and SIEM deployments, ensuring scalable security for a 1000+ employee ecosystem.

Qualifications

• 7+ years IT Operations/DevSecOps experience with enterprise tooling.
• Strong Microsoft Entra/Azure AD administration and RBAC expertise.
• Experience with SaaS platforms and user lifecycle management.
• Security monitoring, threat analysis, and SIEM design experience.
• Certifications listed in qualifications are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own Microsoft Entra ID including SSO, MFA, CA, provisioning and lifecycle.
• Develop automation workflows for alerting, monitoring and reporting.
• Manage SaaS platforms such as Microsoft 365, Slack, and related access governance.
• Deploy and maintain Networking Services using Cisco Meraki and FortiGate.
• Site security controls with Avigilon/video monitoring and access systems.
• Contribute to IT Operations run-books and knowledge base.
• Utilize Jira for IT service management, workflows and reporting.
• Advise leadership on identity lifecycle, provisioning and onboarding processes.

Role Summary – Impact In This Role

The Information Technology Operations (IT Operations) team provides critical operational support for all Misumi technology systems. This team covers new IT network setup for LAN/WAN/VPC/VPN, desktop hardware configuration and roll out, desktop software management, access control, security training and help desk support. IT Operations collaborates very closely with the Cloud Infrastructure Operations team to ensure secure access to Misumi Americas systems for all Misumi Americas employees.

As an IT Operations Engineer, you will report to the IT Operations Technical Lead role. You will utilize your deep knowledge of Microsoft Entra, Network Administration, Security Event Management, and SaaS Management to provide critical day-to-day support for Misumi Americas employees and partners. Success in this role will be measured by implementing strategic initiatives through deliverables on key milestones and providing solutions to complex, cross-functional projects, including - systems design, implementation and maintenance, new facility site expansion, employee life-cycle management, and company wide IT initiatives.

Areas of Responsibility

• You will own Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD): SSO, MFA, Conditional Access, group-based provisioning, and lifecycle management.
• Assist in developing automation workflows to compile alerting, monitoring, reporting processes to identify security threats.
• Assist in managing new and current SaaS platforms (including Microsoft 365, Slack, Iru MDM, and more). Manage user access governance across identity and application layers.
• On-site deployment and maintenance of Networking Services (WAN, LAN, and site to VPC) utilizing Cisco Meraki and FortiGate equipment.
• Site location deployments of Security and Facility Access Controls using Avigilon and video monitoring equipment.
• Contribute to the development of IT Operations run-books and knowledge base.
• Proficiency with Jira for IT service management, workflow configuration, and reporting.
• Act as technical expert to assist IT leadership in providing recommendations to improve IT processes such as — identity lifecycle, provisioning, and user onboarding/offboarding — with a focus on automation and reducing manual effort.
• Strong working knowledge of Crowdstrike EDR or other EDR platforms to assist with designing, deploying, and managing SIEM solutions for threat analysis and detection.
• 7+ years of experience configuring and administering medium/large-scale Entra environments, including RBAC measures.
• 7+ years of experience in administering Microsoft 365, Atlassian, Slack, and other SaaS tools for a company of 1000+ employees.
• Experience with Cisco Meraki, FortiGate configurations related to routers, switches, VPNs, VPCs, LANs and WANs, encryption and access control.

Required Qualifications/ Desired Traits

• 7+ years of experience in administering Microsoft 365, Atlassian, Slack, and other SaaS tools for a company of 1000+ employees.
• 7+ years in IT Operations and/or DevSecOps.
• Clear and engaging communication style of building positive relationships across the MISUMI Americas organization.
• Technical certifications (CompTIA Network+ / Security + / Cloud+, Cisco Certified Network Administrator, Okta Certified Professional/Administrator, AZ-104, SC-300, or MD-102) will be given preference.
• Hands-on experience with Iru, Intune and/or other MDM solutions.
• Strong knowledge of SSL/TLS certificate management.
• A solid understanding of SOC 2 compliance.
• Experience in ISO 27001 or NIST 800 is a plus.

Physical Demands

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is routinely required to sit, walk, talk, and hear; use hands to keyboard, fingers, handle, and feel; stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, crawl, reach, and stretch.
• Ability to move heavy boxes/equipment from time to time; must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Travel

• Ability to travel 10% annually in the US for team meetings, offsites, trade shows, conferences, etc. as required.
• Travel may be required to other regional facilities as required.

The annual salary range for this position is $105,000 - $115,000 USD depdending on exprience.
