Job summary

MISUMI Americas seeks an experienced full-stack engineer to help build and evolve our AI-enabled platform. You will own end-to-end features across the stack, writing clean code, testing thoroughly, and delivering reliable services on AWS and Vercel.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of relevant full-stack engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in Node.js, JavaScript/TypeScript, React, and Next.js.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services and modern web architectures.
• Demonstrated ability to develop, version, and maintain applications and APIs.
• Commitment to quality with unit and integration testing (Jest required).
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases; Datadog for monitoring.
• Experience deploying on AWS and Vercel; ability to understand legacy code.
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools while upholding quality.

Areas of Responsibility: Essential Functions

• Technical Expertise — Write clean, well-tested code across the full stack. Build highly available, business-critical services in AWS using Node.js and event-driven architectures. Translate complex requirements into reliable, maintainable solutions.
• Delivery — Consistently ship high-quality, defect-free code with tests and documentation. Own your work end to end — from design through deployment — with minimal oversight. Hold yourself to a high bar on code quality and system reliability.
• Collaboration — Partner closely with adjacent teams and stakeholders to clarify requirements and unblock progress. Communicate proactively on task status and project impact. Contribute actively to technical design reviews and serve as a resource other engineers can rely on.
• Team Orientation — Show up for the team. Help debug production issues, clear blockers, and improve shared systems — even when the issue isn't yours. Model the collaborative engineering culture you want to work in.
• Continuous Improvement — Stay curious. Explore new patterns and technologies, share what you learn, and apply it to raise the quality of what we build together. Contribute to our Quality Management System (QMS).

• 3–6 years of relevant full-stack engineering experience
• Strong proficiency in Node.js, JavaScript/TypeScript, React, and Next.js
• Hands-on experience with AWS services, including SQS, Lambda, EC2, RDS, API Gateway, CloudWatch, AWS File Transfer Family, and Amazon Bedrock
• Demonstrated ability to develop, version, and maintain applications, microservices, and APIs with clean, maintainable, and efficient code
• Commitment to quality through unit and integration testing (Jest required; Vitest a plus
• Experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases
• Proficiency with Datadog for monitoring, logging, and performance analysis
• Experience deploying, scaling, and securing modern web applications on AWS and Vercel
• Ability to analyze and understand existing applications across front-end and back-end layers, including reverse-engineering legacy or undocumented code
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools — code generation, testing, debugging, and solution design — while upholding quality and development standards
• Proven ability to take ownership of ambiguous tasks and projects, providing direction and driving them to completion
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple timelines and deliver on schedule
• Experience with distributed systems, caching, and security fundamentals (OWASP Top 10) is a strong plus
• .NET development experience is a plus

Compensation range for this role is $100,000 - $130,000 USD annually
