KellyMitchell is seeking an IT Network Specialist to join a leading Utilities provider's Smart Meter Operations team in Concord, CA. The role focuses on supporting AMI infrastructure, MDMS, RF communications, and Itron technologies, with onsite, hybrid or remote options (1 day onsite).

Responsibilities include monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving Smart Meter issues, coordinating with IT and vendors, and supporting deployments, testing, and knowledge transfer to teammates.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting electric Smart Meter / AMI environments.
• Hands-on experience with Itron technologies.
• Knowledge of Smart Meters, MDMS, and data networks.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Utility industry experience.
• Knowledge of RF/Wireless communications, Access Points, and Relay devices.

• Participate in design reviews, UAT, equipment evaluations, and technology trials.
• Document processes and provide knowledge transfer, training, and technical guidance to team members.

Job Summary

Our client, a leading Utilities provider, is seeking a IT Network Specialist to join their team. The client is seeking an experienced SmartMeter Operations Analyst to support Smart Meter Operations, AMI infrastructure, and strategic Smart Meter initiatives. This individual will provide operational and project support across Smart Meter devices, Itron technologies, RF communications, relays, access points, data networks, and Meter Data Management Systems (MDMS). The ideal candidate will have previous experience in electric Smart Meter environments and be able to quickly contribute with minimal ramp-up time. This position is W-2 only. We do not work with third-party firms or C2C arrangements for this role.

Contract Details

Work location: Concord, CA Onsite, hybrid or remote expectations : 1 day a week onsite

Compensation & Benefits

Pay Range: The approximate pay range for this position is between $62.00 and $88.65. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
