Job summary

Hocking Valley Community Hospital in Ohio is seeking an IT Technician responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and installing computer equipment and local networks, including printer and data communications hardware.

You will support users, use test equipment to diagnose issues, assemble and configure LAN gear, coordinate with vendors, and document procedures. On-call duties evenings/weekends/holidays are required, with residency in the locality.

Qualifications

Associates or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
2–4 years of IT experience including hardware, networking, and support.
A+ or Networking+ certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, repair, maintain, install, and test computer equipment and LANs.
Provide hardware and software user support and use test equipment to diagnose issues.
Assemble, install, configure and test computer equipment and LAN components.
Collaborate with manufacturers' reps on installation and projects; assist in repairs.
Process work orders for equipment installation and network changes.
Fabricate cables for peripherals and networks.
Install and support hubs, switches, routers, and cabling between IDFs and workstations; maintain fiber networks.
Configure servers with programs; ensure backups and data protection.
Be on-call for evenings, weekends, and holidays and reside locally.
Maintain network documentation and manuals.
Perform related duties as assigned.
