Job summary

Intact Insurance Specialty Solutions seeks an IT Manager to join the Corporate IT team across Canton, MA; Boston, MA; Farmington, CT or Raleigh, NC on a hybrid schedule. You will lead applications, technologies and infrastructure while guiding cross-functional teams and aligning IT with business goals.

You will partner with senior leaders, drive DevSecOps and AI adoption, coach engineers, and ensure milestones are met within security and governance standards to support our diverse insurance

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or other related field or equivalent work experience.
• 7–10 years of IT and software engineering experience, including hands-on development and leadership of complex delivery or modernization initiatives.
• Prior people management or technical team leadership experience with success coaching engineers.
• Strong experience with .NET Core, React, Java and Microsoft Azure in enterprise environments.
• Strong API development experience including RESTful design, security, performance, observability and operational support.
• Experience with Agile, DevOps/DevSecOps, CI/CD and cloud-based delivery.
• Practical experience applying AI and GenAI to software development, testing, modernization, operations or developer productivity.
• Advanced understanding of IT applications and technologies.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership to direct reports and team by establishing goals, coaching and feedback, evaluating performance, and supporting development initiatives.
• Establishes strong relationships with senior and operating level business leaders, customers and vendors.
• Acts as a thought partner to improve business processes by leveraging IT capabilities.
• Manages escalated issues and prioritization with stakeholders.
• Reinforces clean-code practices, reusable components, automated testing and engineering standards.
• Advances DevSecOps capabilities, including CI/CD, IaC, deployment automation and observability.
• Promotes responsible AI adoption across development, testing and operations with governance alignment.
• Leads projects through lifecycle; ensures milestones are met and deliverables are achieved.
• Participates in IT governance and initiative review teams.
