JOB SUMMARY: This role leads the global IT function “Engineering & Automation Applications”, responsible for the deployment, support, and continuous improvement of Engineering & Automation applications and platforms across all Jabil sites. The IT Manager reports to the IT Director Global Applications and will oversee all aspects of service delivery, application lifecycle, vendor coordination, system compliance, and team performance in alignment with business and manufacturing goals. The position requires strong engineering & automation applications domain knowledge, hands-on leadership, and the ability to operate in a global matrix environment.

Responsibilities
  • Own and manage the global IT delivery and operations of the Global Engineering & Automation Applications tower.
  • Define and execute the IT strategy for the E&A application tower in alignment with enterprise and digital transformation goals.
  • Lead a global virtual team of IT specialists and coordinate with regional/site IT for deployment, development and support activities.
  • Act as primary IT point of contact for E&A application programs across business units and manufacturing leadership.
  • Ensure platform stability, performance, compliance, and availability in a regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Drive continuous improvement and service excellence through metrics, governance, and proactive risk management.
  • Manage vendor relationships, license contracts, and service escalations related to Global E&A applications tower.
  • Lead system lifecycle planning including upgrades, patching, and obsolescence management.
  • Own change and release processes to minimize operational disruption and maintain audit readiness, as applicable.
  • Manage IT financials for the E&A application team including budgeting, forecasting, and cost optimization.
  • Support the preparation of business cases and ROI analyses for strategic initiatives and platform investments.
  • Partner with internal security, infrastructure, and compliance teams to maintain a robust control framework.
  • Contribute to the global IT leadership community, sharing best practices and aligning to corporate IT standards.
  • Support audit readiness, corrective actions, and resolution of any system non-conformance.
  • Build and develop team capabilities to support current needs and future evolution.
  • Select, develop, and evaluate personnel (internal/external) to ensure the efficient operation of the IT function.
  • Coordinate the work schedules, priorities, and performance management of IT personnel.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to customer/business service; anticipate, meet and exceed expectations by solving problems quickly and effectively.
  • Understand and embrace the global IT strategic direction.
  • Adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position and as directed by leadership.
  • Enforce and follow all applicable procedures and policies within IT and the company.
  • Participate in internal audit programs and drive non-conformance issues to conclusion.
  • Support/ Govern Project Management, as required.
  • May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications & Knowledge
  • Proven track record managing global or multi-site application deployments.
  • Previous leadership experience in a matrix or Center of Excellence structure is preferred.
  • Experience working with Global Engineering & Automation Applications is a strong plus.
  • Familiarity with ITIL practices, GxP/regulated environments, and manufacturing operations.
  • Ability to participate in projects to ensure regional/global readiness.
  • ITIL Process Management knowledge to ensure compliance and use of global, regional and/or site defined processes.
  • Experience ensuring processes/people are in place to support area of responsibility.
  • Understanding of Licensing and Contracting principles.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure with constantly changing priorities and deadlines.
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Management Information Technology.
  • 6 to 8 years experience in a relevant IT position OR equivalent external work experience, including at least 5 years in a supervisory or management role within an Information Technology department.
  • ITIL Foundation Certification preferred, or an equivalent combination of education, training, or experience.
Working Conditions
  • Regular business hours with some additional hours as required.
  • Travel requirements: Domestic and/or International, up to 25%.
  • Climate controlled office environment during normal business hours.
