Job summary

Western Builders Supply, backed by Marmon Holdings and Berkshire Hathaway, is seeking a hands-on IT Manager. You will oversee the company’s IT infrastructure, security, and end-user support while guiding a small IT team. The role requires strong Windows Server, Entra ID, and Intune expertise with a focus on cybersecurity and continuous improvement.

The position is remote with travel to Ashland, OH and other Marmon facilities, and involves budgeting, project management, and vendor coordination.

Qualifications

• 5+ years IT experience including infrastructure, systems, networking, and end-user technology.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity and IT security best practices.
• Experience mentoring or leading a small IT team.
• Excellent communication and multitasking skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee IT infrastructure, systems, and end-user technology.
• Lead and mentor a small IT team.
• Administer Windows Server environments.
• Manage Microsoft Entra ID for identity security.
• Administer Microsoft Intune for device management.
• Manage Cisco Meraki network infrastructure and security solutions.
• Monitor Microsoft Defender and other endpoint security tools.
• Lead IT projects, upgrades, and infrastructure improvements.
• Assist with IT budgeting, procurement, and vendor management.
